Location of Marker: On east side of U.S. Highway 77, south of Salt Fork River, Kay County. Originally presented to the Cherokee Strip Cowpunchers Association in 1930 by Zack Miller of the famous 101 Ranch show, the plot has since been turned over to the Oklahoma Historical Society. Containing the graves of Miller and Jack Webb, a one-time "trick shot" in the show, it was planned to serve as the location for an annual reunion of "those who had ridden the range in the Strip." The above information is from the book, Mark of Heritage, by Muriel H. Wright, courtesy of Oklahoma Historical Society. |
