Mission Nuestra Senora de los Dolores
de los Ais was first established in 1717 along Ayish Bayou, approximately one-quarter league
west of the present site.
Mission Dolores is listed in the National Register of Historic Places at the national level
of significance and is a designated State Archeological Landmark. Mission Dolores Visitor Center houses an interactive and interpretive display relating to
Mission Nuestra Senora de los Ais, among the earliest missions established in Texas by Fray
Antonio Margil de Jesus.
Hours
Sunday: 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 12 noon, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Thursday, Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., 12 noon- 4:30 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., 12 noon – 3:30 p.m. Admission The Visitor Center is free, but donations are appreciated.
